The Domaine de TRIANS, located in the Var region, has been certified Organic Agriculture (AB) since 2012;
Organic farming has brought many benefits, but it is focused on the vine, the grape, the wine.
Being ORGANIC is the foundation of the five principles that define “Certified Regenerative Agriculture”.
Since February 4, the estate and its vineyards have been certified by Ecocert as cultivated “under Certified Regenerative Agriculture”.
We are broadening our perspective by taking into account all aspects of the biosphere: water, subsoil, topsoil, animals, and humans.
The goal is to work the soil in harmony with its inhabitants — worms, insects, and bacteria — so that the crops become more resilient, without synthetic chemical inputs.
Water is at the heart of the project, both to sustain the crops and allow their growth, and to prevent soil erosion.
Then, a coherent plant ecosystem, including plantations and hedges, will reduce soil and water pollution while promoting the diversity of animal species — insects, birds, and mammals. This is the principle of the virtuous regeneration cycle.
These simple agroecological principles involve a reflection and awareness of the global nature and coherence of Life and its ecosystem.
From this awareness will emerge obvious actions: respecting the biology of the soil, replanting wild areas, reducing water and air pollution, capturing carbon and nitrogen, and… slowing down global warming.
As a result, buying a product certified “ROC” (Regenerative Organic Certification) means being certain that the product was not produced at the expense of nature, humans, animals, or biodiversity in general.
The outcome of this commitment, our grapes and our wine, will find in this philosophy the meaning and taste we envisioned for it.
